As large language models continue to improve their command of natural language with growth in enterprise deployments, it's hard to predict what the future holds as costs exceed value.
We are working on new AI products with real-world use cases to further scale up language models and advance the next generation of transformers. Ainabl seeks high-value collaboration to improve foundation models (pre-trained and instruct-trained models) and achieve a more intuitive understanding and contextual reasoning while focusing on ethical stakes. Our singular focus is on evolving full-AI general intelligence that increases the limits of possibility by better understanding context and nuance while building the necessary compute AI-centric systems and infrastructure. We continue to innovate and explore generative AI, natural language, interpretability, and an ensemble of AI learning methods that combine multiple disciplines. These methods include transfer learning, reinforcement learning, human feedback (RLHF), and transformer models to improve performance on tasks such as complex question answering with accuracy and safety; enhance context understanding and advance the basic AI technology.

As an AI Interaction Designer, you'll bridge the gap between complex AI technology and the users who interact with, making Ainabl AI's products more user-friendly and effective. This key product development role requires the right understanding of AI and ML algorithms, UX design principles, user-centered design, business problems, and strong problem-solving abilities in delivering high-value personalization and delightful experiences.

Responsibilities:​​

Lead the design process from concept to final product, ensuring a user-centric approach is consistent with the functional specification.

Collaborate with project/product managers and developers to iterate and improve on designs based on UAT (User Acceptance Testing) results and human feedback.

Conduct user research, usability and Wizard of OZ (wOz) testing to inform design decisions.

Create AI assistant wireframes and user flows that align with product objectives to visualize and communicate design ideas, iterating based on feedback to enhance usability testing results, ensuring consistency in design elements and system persona.

Craft visually compelling and an intuitive prototype conversational AI interface for Ainabl AI's products with the ability to perform sophisticated question answering on some of the most complicated datasets and generate complex code while focusing on accuracy, reliability, explainability, and transparency.​

Produce and deliver detailed UX specifications in alignment with requirements, scope and timelines.

Stay current with design tools and industry best practices.

Gather and incorporate feedforward from stakeholders and end-users.

Champion a user-first mindset, advocating for exceptional product experiences.

Actively contribute to deploying high-performing and reliable pre-trained and instruct-trained models and the Ainabl AI's assistant products that operate in real-time while strengthening the conversational interfaces that are user-friendly and effective.
Requirements:​

Proven experience leading the design process in financial services, healthcare, manufacturing or other industry that is complex, multi-channel and/or regulated.

Skill at simplifying the complex, using compelling, concise, and friendly language to help users navigate and take desired actions.

Ability to produce and present content chatbot sample interactions, chatbot wireframes, and other requirements driven prototyping deliverables with focus on a clear, simple conversational voice, tone, and style that aligns with established editorial and conversation design standards.

Ability to build credibility and trust with peers and executives.

Experience conducting user research and usability testing with precision and speed.

Strong advocacy for a user-first mindset, emphasizing exceptional product experiences.

Ability to effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:​

2+ years of progressive experience in AI interaction design projects, specifically in designing conversational AI interfaces for products with UX design principles that ensure easy to use and meet the needs of users, or a similar role and experience with AI and User Experience.

Bachelor's degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in Human Factors Engineering and Cognitive Science.

Proficiency in Google DialogFlow, Amazon Lex, Nuance Mix, and Parloa, etc.

Preferred Qualifications or a Plus

5+ years of progressive experience in AI interaction design projects, specifically in designing conversational AI interfaces for products with UX design principles that ensure easy to use and meet the needs of users, or a similar role and experience with AI and User Experience.

Bachelor's degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in Human Factors Engineering and Cognitive Science.

A strong hold on product interface design.

Strong knowledge of using software like Adobe XD, Sketch, and Figma or other innovative tools for designing interfaces

Familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch for understanding and working with AI systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving and debugging skills.

Compensation Package and Benefits:

Base salary, generous equity plan, and benefits.

Competitive salary range: $121,000 – $150,900 for a full-time position in our hub locations of Paris Île-de-France, New York City metropolitan area, San Francisco Bay area, or Hong Kong.
