
Job Description
As a Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll lead the identification and pursuit of strategic partnerships and market opportunities for our quantum technology. You’ll collaborate with technical and licensing teams to align business development with our innovations, including potential aerospace and defense applications, contributing to our groundbreaking approach to quantum computing. This position offers the chance to influence the next generation of quantum innovation, supporting our licensing revenue goals.
Responsibilities
Lead the identification and development of strategic business partnerships and market expansion opportunities.
Negotiate and manage agreements with industry partners, including aerospace and defense sectors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (research, architecture, systems, design, product engineering, validation, and implementation) to align business strategies with technical milestones and patent initiatives.
Provide expertise in business development, contributing to licensing strategies and revenue growth.
Foster a culture of innovation and strategic growth.
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
7+ years of experience in business development, preferably in technology or aerospace and defense industries.
Proven expertise in negotiating partnerships and driving revenue growth through strategic initiatives.
Strong understanding of quantum technology applications and market dynamics.
Experience with interdisciplinary teams and a track record of delivering successful business development solutions.
Excellent negotiation and strategic planning skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with quantum computing or photonic/trapped-ion technologies.
Knowledge of aerospace and defense industry markets or quantum simulations for scientific discovery.
Experience with intellectual property licensing or ITAR compliance, particularly for business development initiatives.

Recruitment Process
Application Review: Applications received by September 5, 2025, will be reviewed starting September 10, 2025. Candidates will be notified within 5 business days if shortlisted.
Initial Interview: Shortlisted candidates will participate in a 30-minute virtual interview with the hiring manager, scheduled within 10 business days of notification, to discuss experience and fit.
Technical Assessment: Selected candidates will complete a take-home business strategy proposal (estimated 4-6 hours) within 7 business days, focusing on partnership concepts.
Final Interview: Top candidates will attend a 1-hour panel interview with the business and legal teams, scheduled within 5 business days of assessment submission, to evaluate strategic expertise and cultural alignment.
Offer: Successful candidates can expect a verbal offer within 3 business days of the final interview, followed by a written offer and contract negotiation.
Timeline: The process aims to conclude by September 26, 2025, with flexibility based on candidate availability.
