We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Data Officer to join our team of creative and strategy experts with an execution mindset passionate about accuracy and tractable clarity for everyone. As the Chief Data Officer, you will oversee our data strategy and execution to ensure the successful implementation of the AI pricing systems at any scale. This key leadership role requires the right understanding of data science, analysis techniques, statistical methods, and strong business acumen in delivering high-value personalization and user experience.
Responsibilities:

Experience in building the recommendation systems, API development, system interoperability, data security, and overall ML system architecture.

Work closely with the executive team and stakeholders to define, develop, and implement a comprehensive data strategy and roadmap for our AI/ML pricing models that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Oversee all aspects of data acquisition, integration, and management to secure clean, reliable, and high-quality sourced data, processing, storage, analysis, and incorporating AI technology in innovative and effective ways to ensure the AI/LLM pricing models and related product portfolio aligns with the company's overall strategy and vision.

Design and implement data governance frameworks and ethical AI guidelines that respect user privacy, avoid bias, and establish procedures to ensure data quality, security, compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and promote transparency and accountability in the system's design, implementation, and usage.

Lead and foster collaboration between data scientists, engineers, and domain experts to ensure effective teamwork in building the AI pricing systems and provide guidance, support, and resources to the team members to ensure the availability and accessibility of the necessary data for training and deploying the recommendation models and for the successful execution of projects.

Define the right evaluation metrics and monitor the performance of the AI pricing systems, analyze the systems’ effectiveness, assess user feedback, and make data-driven decisions to optimize and continuously improve the recommendations.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

7+ years of proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully implementing data-driven strategies, data science, or leadership in AI/NLP/LLM or machine learning software.

Deep understanding of data management principles and best practices.

Proficient in data analytics tools and technologies, such as SQL, Python, and Tableau.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Familiar with data privacy and security regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.

Knowledge in software/hardware for training and running models, including GPUs, Parallel processing tools like Sparks, Cloud data storage and compute platforms.

Experience in the components of AI and information technology industry is highly desirable.

Hands-on experience with the latest AI tools, GenAI, modern machine learning libraries and frameworks, and understanding different recommendation algorithms.
Compensation Package and Benefits:

Base salary, generous equity plan, and benefits.

Competitive salary range: $135,000 – $180,000 for a full-time position in our hub locations of Paris Île-de-France, New York City metropolitan area, San Francisco Bay area, or Hong Kong.
